Explorer Scouts from Kenilworth find a novel way of cooling down by playing on the water in cardboard boats.
Explorers Scouts from Kenilworth’s Castle Lake Explorers were set the challenge of making boats using only cardboard boxes, parcel tape and bin liners. After several weeks of construction the Explorers got to test their designs on the River Leam with fantastic results.
Explorer Scout Leader, Richard Staveley, said “It was a great opportunity for the Scouts to develop the problem solving skills they would need later in life. I must admit I had my doubts that any of them would float but I should have just trusted our amazing young people.”
Castle Lake Explorers meet on Wednesday evenings 7:30 until 9:30 during term times. For more information contact Richard Staveley on This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.
